Ohio might look like a smaller state on a map of the United States, but the truth is it is the 7th most populated state in the country. With that information it should come as no surprise that Ohio is home to many colleges and universities, some being extremely renowned and respected.

Oberlin, Kenyon and Case Western Reserve; for example are three highly selective and respected colleges in the state of Ohio. Oberlin College, with its small enrollment and focus on individualized studies, is regarding as one of the top four music programs in the country. Kenyon College, located in Gambier, OH, is well known as one of the top Liberal Arts Colleges in the country and offers a strong program in environmental science. Case Western, on the other hand, is known for its science-focused curriculum that draws students from around the nation. ‘

The University of Cincinnati and Bowling Green, two more well-respected colleges located in Ohio, are larger universities that offer a wide range of studies. University of Cincinnati has a strong business program while Bowling Green draws students who are interested in the arts, science and education.

Ohio, with its rich history, large population and focus on culture, is one of the best states to attend college in simple because there are so many options and schools to choose from. The above schools are simply a small sampling of what Ohio has to offer in higher learning.
